Yaama, my name is Noeline Briggs-Smith. I am currently the Aboriginal Researcher for the Indigenous Unit of the Northern Regional Library and Information Service. I have worked in this position for over 9 years, and have helped hundreds of people trace their family trees. I you feel like you've hit a brick wall, then remembert the best way to get over this wall is by word of mouth, ask other Aboriginal people or organisations. The Murri grapevine gets the best results. Remember, where there's a will there's a way. So if we go back to the old traditional ways of sharing, especially family history information, this will help you find your mob.
